A couple of my lady-friends have had a similar experience and it could have been easily avoided if they had some cash and didn't feel like they needed the guy to get them home. But even aside for the "vex" purpose, I've been surprised when the bill came and they said the credit card machine is down. In that case I either have to leave the girl there and foolishly run my ass over to the nearest bank. The girl doesn't know if I'll even be back. Or, if my date has some cash, I can repay her and the night will be saved. Great article!
